About This Statement
This statement explains how CareLog handles information connected to the app. CareLog is designed as a private vehicle record utility for tracking repair, maintenance, fuel, charging, inspection, cost, mileage, receipt photo, optional voice note, deleted record, and Points activity.
Information Collected
We may process information you choose to create or provide in the app, including local account name, vehicle name, brand, model, year, plate number, mileage, purchase date, service category, service date, service cost, shop or location, written notes, receipt photo file names, voice note file names, deleted record status, Points balance, and Points history.
We may also process technical information needed for product operation, including iOS version, app version, product identifiers, App Store transaction identifiers, transaction verification status, purchase diagnostics, device payment availability, and error messages needed to troubleshoot purchase or app behavior.
Permissions
Camera access is used only when you choose to capture vehicle service, maintenance, or receipt photos.
Photo Library access is used only when you choose to import existing vehicle photos or receipts, or when a future export action saves a file to your library at your request.
Microphone access is used only when you choose to record an optional voice note for a vehicle record.
Notification permission is requested only when you choose to allow optional vehicle care reminders or app status notices.
Tracking permission is optional. The current app works without tracking and does not track users across apps or websites unless you explicitly grant permission and a future supported flow requires it.
Reasons for Use
We use information so the app can save and display vehicle records, calculate service cost statistics, show history and deleted records, attach photos, manage optional voice notes, process consumable Points purchases, fulfill local tools, restore deleted records when requested, prevent duplicate purchase fulfillment, troubleshoot errors, answer support requests, and protect app integrity.
Storage and Sharing
Vehicle records, photos, voice notes, local account details, settings, deleted items, Points balance, and Points history are primarily stored locally on your device. CareLog does not provide public profiles, user-to-user communication, discovery feeds, real-time broadcasting, or relationship services.
Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple may process purchase, billing, refund, and App Store account information under Apple's own policies. We do not sell user data for marketing. Limited disclosure may occur only when required by law, to complete App Store purchase processing, to respond to support requests, or to protect rights, safety, and service security.
Local Account
Registration and sign-in use a local on-device account flow. The app does not require Apple ID sign-in and does not receive or store your Apple ID password. Local account data is used to keep the app experience organized on the device.
Purchases and Points
Points are consumable credits purchased through Apple StoreKit. The app uses verified transaction information to add Points to your balance and avoid duplicate fulfillment. Points are used for optional one-time local tools such as CSV export, PDF export, deleted record restore, receipt photo export, vehicle sale report, and backup package export.
Points do not provide recurring access, paid status, gratuities, donations, cash, or transferable value. Purchase records may be kept locally for balance history and transaction recovery.
Tracking and Analytics
CareLog is designed as a local-first utility and does not track users across apps or websites in the current version. If tracking permission is requested, you can decline it and continue using the app.
User Controls
You can add, edit, delete, and restore vehicle records where supported in the app. You can delete local account data from the app; this clears vehicle details, history, deleted records, local settings, and Points balance from the device. iOS permission settings can be changed in the Settings app. App Store purchase records are managed by Apple and may remain available through your Apple account.
Younger Users
The service is intended for personal vehicle organization and is not directed to children below the required age threshold in their jurisdiction. If we learn that prohibited information from a child has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
Revisions
We may revise this statement as the product evolves. When material updates are made, the revised statement will replace the prior version in the app or on this page.
